Ian Dean is the Owner and General Manager of Shoot 360 Charlotte. Guided by his faith in God and a passion for serving others, Ian believes basketball is one of the greatest tools for developing confidence, character, discipline, and leadership in young people. His purpose is to faithfully steward the opportunity God has entrusted to him by serving the Charlotte basketball community with excellence, equipping and challenging athletes to reach their full potential both on and off the court, and creating an environment where families feel welcomed, valued, and supported.
A former collegiate basketball player, Ian has spent more than 20 years coaching and mentoring athletes from the youth through high school levels. Combined with his background in business, education, and executive leadership, he is committed to creating an environment where athletes are known, families are valued, and every interaction reflects integrity, service, and genuine care.
Ian and his wife, Terra, have been married for more than 20 years and live in Huntersville with their three children. Together, they are passionate about investing in the next generation and making a lasting impact on the Charlotte basketball community.
Shoot 360 Charlotte trainer & Director of Basketball Operations, Junior Hairston is a former pro basketball player and local elite trainer in the city of Charlotte, NC.
Terra Dean is a member of the leadership team at Shoot 360 Charlotte. With more than 20 years of experience serving children and families, she is passionate about creating an encouraging environment where young athletes can grow in confidence, character and skill. As a wife, mother of three, and educator, Terra is dedicated to helping every child reach his or her full potential on and off the court.
Coach Steven Mims is a Fayetteville, NC native, former professional player, and expert basketball coach and player-development specialist with more than 15 years of experience. A former college and professional player, Mims has coached at the collegiate, high school and AAU levels, compiling a 105–44 (.705) varsity head-coaching record, multiple Coach of the Year honors and championship success.
He has trained high-major collegiate players who went on to become NBA Draft picks and has worked extensively in recruiting, evaluation and player development. Mims is also the founder of Next Level Assessments, a basketball evaluation and exposure platform.
Faith-driven and committed to developing the whole athlete, Coach Mims uses basketball to teach skill, discipline, accountability, character and purpose. At Shoot 360 Charlotte, he combines his experience and passion with Shoot 360’s technology to help athletes become better players, better thinkers and better prepared for their next level.
CJ is a passionate basketball trainer with four years of coaching experience and a lifelong love for the game. A Charlotte native and former varsity player, he is dedicated to helping athletes develop their skills, build confidence, and reach their full potential both on and off the court while completing his degree at UNC Greensboro.
Darra Walker played college basketball at Livingstone College where she studied Business Administration. She was awarded the Student-Athlete of the Year Award for two consecutive seasons from 2018-2020. She was the head girls coach at North Rowan High School from 2022-2024. In addition to being a trainer at Shoot 360, she currently serves as the Co-Director of Elite IQ Academy, where she is focused on building one of the top AAU organizations in the Carolinas.
Javis Howard is a former collegiate and professional basketball player who brings elite playing experience, leadership development, and a passion for mentoring athletes to Shoot 360 Charlotte. With firsthand experience competing at the Division I and professional levels, Javis is dedicated to helping players improve their skills, strengthen their mindset, and reach their full potential on and off the court.
Lucas Rivera has been working at Shoot 360 Charlotte for the last two years as a floor coach. In this role, he works closely with athletes during their workout sessions, providing them with feedback to help improve their game. During his time at Shoot 360, Lucas has come to realize it is much more than just a place where athletes train, it's a family. Lucas is passionate about helping each athlete improve and achieve their goals.
Mikalister enjoyed a successful high school basketball career, earning All-Conference honors and being named team MVP during his final two seasons. He is currently a student and playing college basketball at Cleveland Community College. Mikalister is passionate about the game of basketball and takes pride in helping athletes develop their skills.
Basketball has been the centerpiece of Thomas' life ever since he was young. Because of this, he learned that hard work, commitment, and patience are the keys to success in sports and in life.
He played all 4 years on the varsity basketball team at both Zachary High School and Hopewell High School. He played AAU basketball for Team Loaded and YGLA in the Adidas Gauntlet. He came to Shoot360 to help boys and girls basketball players get better and grow every day.
He is currently a student at Appalachian State University.
Will Harvey played varsity basketball locally at Hopewell High School and graduated in 2022. He is a versatile sharp shooting guard currently playing on the club basketball team at UNC Charlotte where he is also a student. He has been coaching and training at Shoot 360 for just over three years. He also has one year of AAU coaching experience.
Will works at Shoot 360 because he enjoys supporting athletes in working hard to achieve what they want in the game of basketball. The game of basketball has been an outlet for him all of his life, and he has learned not to take the game for granted. He wants to pass on his love of the game to the next generation.
