A former collegiate basketball player, Ian has spent more than 20 years coaching and mentoring athletes from the youth through high school levels. Ian and his wife, Terra, have been married for more than 20 years and live in Huntersville with their three children. Together, they are passionate about investing in the next generation and making a lasting impact on the Charlotte basketball community.

Coach Steven Mims is a Fayetteville, NC native, former professional player, and expert basketball coach and player-development specialist with more than 15 years of experience. A former college and professional player, Mims has coached at the collegiate, high school and AAU levels, compiling a 105–44 (.705) varsity head-coaching record, multiple Coach of the Year honors and championship success.

He has trained high-major collegiate players who went on to become NBA Draft picks and has worked extensively in recruiting, evaluation and player development. Mims is also the founder of Next Level Assessments, a basketball evaluation and exposure platform.

She was awarded the Student-Athlete of the Year Award for two consecutive seasons from 2018-2020. She was the head girls coach at North Rowan High School from 2022-2024. In addition to being a trainer at Shoot 360, she currently serves as the Co-Director of Elite IQ Academy, where she is focused on building one of the top AAU organizations in the Carolinas.
